HOwever, it is often tough to shower in a place with 'character' when the wind whistles around your legs, mould and moss grow in crevices in the bathroom and the pipes groan and rattle.

However, taking a place with character and restoring it to its previous glory is very expensive - like millions. As for the bottom left pic, well, that's just plain negligence:-)Alanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11806288248852848360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1917748826116414599.post-8416180586206906912011-06-21T16:48:36.474+10:002011-06-21T16:48:36.474+10:00You have a fascinating area there in Paddington. You have a fascinating area there in Paddington.Adullamitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15537659871829290071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1917748826116414599.post-71137586898045542102011-06-21T15:19:40.794+10:002011-06-21T15:19:40.794+10:00I'm with Jim on this one.I'm with Jim on this one.Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03182743312553270315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1917748826116414599.post-38981417494879101522011-06-21T12:00:46.633+10:002011-06-21T12:00:46.633+10:00I like it when they restore them to their former g...I like it when they restore them to their former glory rather than renovate and alter them.Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16361781616939928650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1917748826116414599.post-69448607908676217702011-06-21T10:54:16.608+10:002011-06-21T10:54:16.608+10:00I would go with renovate Julie, if it's done i...I would go with renovate Julie, if it's done in a sensitive way keeping as much to the original as possible.PerthDailyPhotohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14077053209100022305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1917748826116414599.post-34965804319500045752011-06-21T09:10:59.154+10:002011-06-21T09:10:59.154+10:00The ironwork is exquisite and I love the renovatio...The ironwork is exquisite and I love the renovations in the first photo... more please.

Bises,
GenieGenie -- Paris and Beyondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12758801373365481655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1917748826116414599.post-63788123217399903002011-06-21T08:18:40.281+10:002011-06-21T08:18:40.281+10:00I can only imagine what Paddo was like 100 years a...I can only imagine what Paddo was like 100 years ago, perhaps even more decay.Peterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00228604486090869506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1917748826116414599.post-20755977938620023112011-06-21T06:57:29.564+10:002011-06-21T06:57:29.564+10:00I agree with Mary Ann.
