You could craft quite a story from this photo. He looks full of thought, full of having done things and full of trepidation for the future. A lovely poetic capture of this man.
Very nice monochrome Julie!!! Then again, he makes a great subject!!! But seriously...your composition, the contrast between him and the crosswalk, the light...very nice!!!
Yes, his bathers (we also call them swimmers or cossies) are dripping as much as his torso. I think he has his t-shirt scrunched up. He has his watch on but, surprisingly he does not have his car keys dangling from his other hand. The angle at which he is walking indicates to me that he is heading towards a car. Noone - noone - walks barefoot up those stairs! This was about 7am on a Sunday morning.
The coloured version is quite as delicious as this. Very warm and sensuous ...
The light on his body is great, his body isn't bad either. One day I'm expecting to see my daughter or partner in one of your shots. In fact I thought that was him at first.
Beautiful capture of this man - it makes me wonder where he is going, or where he is coming from - what he is thinking. The light captures his contemplative expression, and accentuates his body so beautifully!
The light on the side of the face, shoulder, and foot, the angle of the crosswalk lines, perfect. Nice looking fellow, too! Your photos are so amazing.
