  3. Fabulous. So lifelike, you'd think someone had been bronzed, his newspaper preserved somehow, for posterity. Great photos.

  6. A great piece of public art. I'm sure I've seen it before but I don't remember it.

  7. What a fun, life like statue! Was he a talkative guy?

  8. In a gruff Atticus Finch sort of way - not one for tolerating interruptions.

  13. There are sculptures of people like this in Melbourne and Brisbane but I don't remember ever seeing one in Sydney.

  14. I can read the headlines...is it possible to read the actual articles? Is the paper dated? Is the date significant?

  15. I have 5 other shots. Cannot read a date on any of them. He is reading an article headlined 'You are a democratic model for the world' under a full page heading of ' ... celebration of a nation'. I didnt read the articles which leads me to think they might have been too hard to read. There are two headings on the front page which I can only get part of.

I shall go down and have another look ... just for you!

  18. Funnily enough, I was looking to sit next to him until I did my double take ... I was waiting my turn to go down into the Tank Stream which is pretty much right underneath him.
