Elvis rides again

On the Old Stadium viaduct, just before Edgcliff station, this train travels the Eastern Suburbs line which is part of the Greater Sydney rail network, which includes just a few underground stations.

  1. Julie, I love this shot. What a beautiful light! Perfect with the Elvis sign. I use a Canon EOS 7D or a EOS 5D.

  2. Great shading and colors with those amazing blue skies! I love Dave's comment - hah!

The photos from yesterday are precious... you are blessed.

  3. This graffitist has done a good job of matching the colors to the train, and you've got a beautiful shot here. I love the colour of the sky.

  4. Just made me wonder why the line has such a boring name? While people say they will get the train to Bondi, I don't think they ever say I will get the Bondi train. Bondi train would be a good name.

  5. Andrew, Andrew, Andrew! We live in enclaves, int this city. And Bondi is just the end-point of the line. You can't have the folk at Kx or Edgecliff, or Rose Bay be upset.

Besides it was named by bureaucrats!

  6. You disappoint me, I thought you must have gone down to Central to catch photos of all the Elvises heading out to the Elvis weekend in Parkes recently.

  7. Nah - that I find sad! Fancy looking forward to dressing up in white flares with massive glasees and wig to journey out to Parkes!! However, I will try to remember it next year, and see if I can cover it in an original way. Quite a challenge as it has been done to death!!

  8. When I saw the title I thought you had gone to the Elvis Train as well, agree that photos of that event are done to death. This is a brilliant image Julie and has brightened my day.

  9. I hoped you'd caught the Elvis train as well.

Beats me how they get up there to make the stencil.
