Theme Day - Photo of the Year

During my sojourn in Paris this past April, a gentleman trod upon my stage which was Pont Passerelle (or Solferino, depending on which sign you take note of). Photography takes much patience, and an eye to know just when to press. I think I got fairly close with this one.

This is the photo that I thought turned out better than many of the others that I shot and posted during 2011. To see the self-selections by others within our community, click here to view thumbnails for other City Daily Photo Bloggers

  19. Brilliant choice Julie. There are so many things to love about this image, as mentioned above the movement of the left foot, but also other details like the graffiti on the bridge pylon the red of the bicycle light (how did you do that??) and the anticipation as to what view he will see over the curve of the bridge, which seeing as it's in Paris is bound to be fabulous! Altogether very special! I wish you all the best for the coming year and would sincerely like to thank you for the help you've given me since I started this venture.

  24. Grace, this shot is in full oolour. I do not process my shots other than to adjust the light or to crop. If it is monochrome, I let you know. This one is full colour.
