Old dog, teaching new dog, tricks


Never was one given to the more genteel, drawing-room, arts, and although I have some knowledge of gardening, I have no idea what this flower-head is.

My grand-daughter is learning to press flowers, and to display them in a book. She will be reading Jane Austen next!

    This is lovely indeed. Looks like a press gum blossom to me.

    I used to press flowers and leave but haven't done it for quite a while. Right now it the perfect time with all the autumn leaves about ... if it was a little less wet.
