| Hooves squelching sodden soil lush growth pasturing from Collinsville through New Norfolk while rich loam swirls beneath old Richmond Bridge. |
Across Bass Strait - 240kms (150 miles) - lies the state of Victoria .
| Ground down by drought for 10 years. Ravaged by bushfires in February. September saw the best spring rains since 2000. Melbourne's catchment area rising to 31% capacity. |
Copenhagen must be a mix of both talk and action.
Wow-this is beautiful, reflective countryside!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots and so green ... with a real black faced sheep .... wheeee!
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning shots, Julie. Spring emerging there as fall descends here. Lambs and daffodils, green banks and rivers rushing brown. Exquisite.
ReplyDeleteOh my...we begin to tuck in our gardens, our plants, our selves, and you begin to burst at the seams! So glad to hear it's raining.
ReplyDeleteI can hear the silence, seeing these photos. The silence of Nature with their delicate sounds, back in 1823.

Oh they are fabulous photos - they make me feel so happy (even the upside down wreck).
ReplyDeleteI love those black and white sheep too - especially their black stockings ( I wonder why you never get sheep with black and white fleece).
And the flowering bulbs.
I could frolic there, I reckon!
It has been wonderful here in Vic having some rain - amazing to see creeks and rivers flowing that I have only ever seen dry.
So many great shots.

Love the old bridge! And I'm glad the water is returning to the area. We followed the tradegy of the drought and fires on our news and through several blogers in Australia.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, what fabulous photographs. Julie, I got married in Richmond and of course remember that beautiful bridge. Superb photography.
ReplyDeleteLove the crossing of our fall with your spring, it's a first for me on CDP. Love every single shot, the bridge, the dumped car, the rush of water and the sheeps.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos!! ;-)
ReplyDeletesimply beautifully captured shots...lovely!
ReplyDeleteA point well made in both words and pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou sure have a way with a camera! Great shots and I love your text as well.
ReplyDeleteWonderful green scenery! I love the spring flowering in picture #3. I like the idea that Mother Nature recovers herself so quickly.
ReplyDeleteThey have talked too long, I think, it is time for action.
ReplyDeleteThose are such beautiful shots - like the English countryside. It feels familiar - but for us, it's a long wait for spring!
Poetry and Nature.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots.
