Then let's keep dancing

The daily challenge of anagrams and homophones
Of reversals and hidden double entendres
Define the morning ritual of a single person
Worrying her knob of a pencil
through the cryptic clues
within the daily crossword
as rain spatters on the perspex roof
of a busy railway concourse -
Still alone amidst the bustle.
Head nod to Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller for the title.

  1. I love crosswords but usually do them at home on the deck or if it's too cold in the garage while drinking coffee and smoking my pipe.

  6. I love this lady. Fun hat, red coat - says a lot about her and she does crosswords so keeps her brain busy. Your words, as always, are beautiful.

Many years ago I used to be quite good at CC. However, it takes a few months to learn all the techniques the setters use and the general form of clues. But, as with many hobbies, experience and perseverance makes all the difference.

VP, I hope she solves it too. Somehow I think she sits there each morning until it is complete!
