It doesn't feel like summer here today ... I've got the heater going again. I like the bottom shot ... suggests sitting languidly in the warm before the summer gets too hot but I just can't get past the fountain you have caught the action so well ... once again your way of homing in on detail.
Fountains and benches, two things I like very much. Your first photo is spectacular and the second is simply enviable: as an image and as a place to relax in the sun. What beautiful benches you have...
Well captured Julie. It's easy to forget that it's summer elsewhere in the world. Here in Ireland we're in the depths of winter. An hour on a sunny park bench would be heaven...
I can't get my eyes off the beautiful flowers behind the bench. The water splashes in the first picture looks very refreshing and cool.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful weather! A welcome change from what I can see out my window today--heavy rain and tornado warnings!
ReplyDeletebelle photo de la fontaine, et le monsieur sur le banc semble prendre du bon temps avec ce soleil (ici c'est la pluie...)
ReplyDeleteAny time you want to post images of warmth, growing plants, playing outdoors unencumbered by coats and scarves, I am happy to see them!

ReplyDeleteAs I type this my fingers are so cold. I can almost feel the heat soaking into the man on the bench, and I yearn for spring.
ReplyDeletePart of the Archibald, yes? Glad its warming up again.
ReplyDeleteAmazing water spray! Great photo, Julie!
ReplyDeleteYes, part of the Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park. That was to the right of me, and the sunbather was to the left of me.
ReplyDeleteI could go for a sunny bench seat in a park right about now.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful photo - he looks so relaxed with thesun on his face. And the flowers! Such a beautiful setting.

Your first photo is just gorgeous, Julie! And the second one made me smile. Wish I could be on that sunny bench right now.

It sounds like the heat of the season has arrived. We're expecting rain and snow. We'll know when we wake up in the morning.
ReplyDeleteI could jump under that water right now Its a bit warm here today. too hot to sun in the park like that relaxed fellow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet glimpse of summer. I think I remember summer--as I recall, it came on 19 July this year!
ReplyDelete*grin*
ReplyDeleteScrolling down through recent pictures the old stores are in sharp contrast to the fountain, but I do love this bench photo especially.
