Before me and behind me, the glories of a setting summer sun on the rolling hills of the Western Gippsland in Victoria, just outside Bena.

  17. Oh glorious glow and I'm so lost in the s-curve depth of this beautiful scene - I want to run toward the cows in the field. Beautiful shots - both of them wonderful colors and warmth!

  20. Good composition in all of the pictures, I prefer the second one because the colours are better. In the first one the ligh is missing but I like the effect of the sun.

  25. Now what was that about needing a lens transplant to do countryside? A beautiful rural scene ... afternoon light seems almost liquid and tangible on days like this.

  27. I love the softness of the sun on the first photo. That's lovely.

I also did some Internet research and found out why they decided to put the fish weather vane on top of the courthouse.

  28. The top photo is like a dreamy remembrance - so like the place I grew up in northern California, I can smell the hot air and dry grass.
