A nip was still in the air as the sun peeped over the clumping bamboo into the orchard, planted twenty years ago beside Molly Milligan, where the loam is deep and fertile.

The dew of the night clung to the handiwork of the field spiders, as the warming air stretched its sleepy extremities. Each droplet blinged its beauty, in anticipation of an unwary insect straying into its clutches.

I often visit my daughter in North Queensland and there I met Willie Gordon, a member of the Guugu Yimitrr tribe. He was our guide along the cave paintings. He is such a great guide. Even the children were very much interested. You might like to see my post of Tuesday, 2 September 2008, and other posts linked to North Queensland or Queensland. I often visit my daughter's ex in-laws, who also belong to the Guguu Yimitrr tribe and live in Hopevale now. They consider me to be family and are very hospitable and lovely people. Very devout Christians too.
