A tale of three images. This first one was taken from Palais de Trocadero on the northern side of La Seine pointing to the south, between her legs. Ease your eye along the green of the Champs de Mar, and you can see the Ecole Militaire (where Bonaparte trained!).
Now come down south with me to Montparnesse. Come up to the 56th floor with me (can't go outside as they are renovating the 59th floor, but it only cost E5). The next two shots were taken from Tour Montparnesse. You know: that ugly building down south that everyone reckons should NOT have been permitted! This first shot was with my 250mm zoom lens and once again, you can see Ecole Militaire, the green of Champs de Mar, and the legs of Le Tour.
The final shot was back to the standard lens with about 20mm showing the suburbs, the area around Le Tour, and La Defense way in the background.
Pretty neat, hey?
I love them all AND I didn't have to look at Tour Montparnesse! I"ve heard it said that that it is the box, la Tour Eiffel came in! HA
