After four days of relentless, torrential rain, at last today an easing and just a sliver of blue skies. However, early this morning I navigated my way across to the northern side of the harbour to continue lessons with my preferred French tutor.
On the way back, late morning, it was still dreadful. The top image is walking up Martin Place, the middle image is debris in Mosman and, the final image waiting for a bus in Carrington Street, outside Wynyard train station.
Oh that looks too bad, how much rain can one have.
ReplyDeletelooks miserable.
ReplyDeletelove your photos,makes me homesick.
"Apres la pluie, le beau temps"
ReplyDeleteWinter in Sydney looks miserable. Not grim like here, with snow and ice, but just plain miserable and wet. Nothing awe-inspiring about drizzle, is there? Glad "the big wet" has eased, but at least it's dramatic, LOL.

Just love the Martin Place image.
ReplyDeleteIt seems we all have downpours these days! Never mind, the city is beautiful when it is wet as there are all these amazing reflections.
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing about brolly rage in Sydney, now I can see why!
ReplyDeleteYes I am sure you are well and truly over it. Have loved the pictures from Mill Hill last week.
ReplyDeleteRain or no rain, you make Martin Place look dramatic and even romantic.
ReplyDeleteRain washed pictures always look so good, love the Martin Place picture Julie.

ReplyDeleteThe 1st pic is a stunner!
My route every day. Good old Stand C
ReplyDeleteThe top shot is terrific. I am glad for the rain, we were so sick of it that we went west on the weekend because it wasn't raining out there and had a great time wayfaring ... some new shots at last.
ReplyDeleteI thought your top photo WAS paris! Parfait

ReplyDeleteLove the capture of Martin Place Julie.
ReplyDeleteOoh I love that first shot - and the second. Something magical happens to strees in the rain... photography-wise I mean. Apologies for lack of comments, Julie. Summer, dogs, too many, crazy.
ReplyDeleteI hate winter and rain but I LOVE your first shot!
ReplyDeleteThat top image is really good. You said "sliver", not "silver"...:-)
