The Ruby Slipper

Tapping my way around through Five Ways, I pay heed to the uneven footpath and the shards of old building materials that litter the way. The path that I know so well during the day, presents challenges in the evening, for me and my walking cane. But the flower shop is not far down, just over a bit of a rise, and around a slight curve.

  2. Have you not? How do they indicate pedestrian crossings in the USA?

  3. Pedestrian crossings in Canada show a whole person walking. I think I like the disembodied legs sign, though. Much more imaginative.
Beautiful photos, Julie, but I worry about you walking around amongst the debris. You and your walking stick may not be as clumsy as I and mine, however, so I'd better stop fussing.

  4. Cute little shot. I laughed at "disembodied legs". It's funny how something we take for granted seems strange to others overseas.

  7. Disembodied legs...he hee hee. In USA their pedestrian lights are of a person waking but it is a white person for go and a red for stop. I kept saying to Biil lets go its green I mean white. Funny.
    Love the window dressing.

  8. I love the richness of the dark tones in these photos. Very mysterious yet quite familiar...like everything is in the dark.
