Beware the man who isn't there!

Two views of the stair-well in the southern wing of the Australian Museum on College Street.

  2. Awesome shot! The shadow on the walls is superb. This reminds me so much of the stairs at Swannanoa Castle which I did a number of posts about. The iron work s so nice...and the lighting...WOW! Love t. genie

Beautiful work, but I really love your top photograph with all the play of light and shadows!

  4. I'm sure you've seen the looks, I know I have, as people wonder at the middle-aged woman taking pictures of ... nothing?! If they only knew, and could see the beautiful results, posted every day on blogs the world over.

That's a beautiful shot, Julie. I learn so much from you and the other people whose work appears on CDP, which, I hope helps to improve my awareness of both the beautiful and not so nice things all around.

  7. The second shot informs the top shot. But the top shot alone is magic. I love the way the shadows "stencil" the walls.

  8. Neat ghostly shot! Is there really a man in there?

  9. Very dramatic in B&W. Love all the patterns and lines. Your title has me stumped this time unless it the patter in the lace work that looks like two eyes and a head and a body. Is that the man?

  11. As I was going up the stair,
    I met a man who wasn't there
    He wasn't there again today
Oh, how I wish he'd go away.
