  2. The lines and zig-zags really make this a powerful image. The man is a great focal point. This is an outstanding photo Julie.

  4. Lots of movement in the pattern of the tile. The lone figure anchors it.

  5. Another great one, Julie! I wonder if he stepped on any lines, or zig-zagged around them?

  6. My question is: is he the minotaur or does the minotaur await him? Gorgeous shot.

  10. This is such a great shot. The textures, the framing, the warmth of the bricks, his body language - fantastic.

  11. Fantastic photo. This is definitely one situation where a wandering passerby enhances the shot. Great work.

  12. Oh yes! This is fabulous. Have you tried it in mono?

  13. Have now ... Did not think of that before, duh!! My laterality is escaping me!

I think it works well and covers the grey scale totally. The figure is even more crucial in mono.

  14. Fabulous! A real-life optical illusion. Very arty... like your old avatar. :)

  15. Oh wow I love this shot. Was going to say it would work really well in B&W but see someone else has beaten me to that comment.

  18. You have a flair for the lone figure in the urbanscape. A compelling image.

I noticed the new look to your blog. A new photo, a new hairdo, a direct gaze with a smile. And no longer "chiseling" a voice, but rather crafting it. It seems something has lifted or shifted. Or perhaps I'm reading too much into it?

  19. So why did you change your avatar if it reflected the inner you? I liked your “chiselled voice” better, too. Much more arty-farty. To thine self be true…
