Come fly with me, come fly, let's fly away

I suppose he doesn't get paid all that much in terms of money: but the benefits are peachy keen!

The Sydney Seaplanes website tells me that a 30 minute flight over the harbour, northern beaches and Bondi will cost two people $225 each. I think it took this pilot longer to clean and prepare his vessel than to pilot his next flight. He did a thorough job though.

Meanwhile, his buddy was well ahead. Dad and I saw him come in from his trial loop, land, load up his two passengers and then take off towards Manly. With that large blue suitcase, I wonder where they were heading: Cottage Point or the vineyards in the Hunter Valley for a romantic weekend.

We can all fantasise ...

My husband is a pilot and dreams to fly a sea plane some day. We've seen many on our trip to the Pacific Northwest.

Great post!

Thanks for the feedback on kitesurfing/parasurfing. I've corrected my post and added some info.

I've always wanted to take a trip on one of these seaplanes. Was this at Rose Bay?

Don't go jumping in the water, Julie - those sharks are hungry!

Just read the story about the attack on the navy diver between Garden Island and Mrs Macquarie's Chair this morning. Up 'til then I wondered what you were on about!! The murky waters begin to clear ...

That's the fun of people watching ... you can make up all sorts of stories about them in your head. I like your suggestions.

I'd go for a flight - at least once! I didn't spot the pilot till after - great moment caught. We did a 20 minute sight seeing flight in Seattle & my son got a couple of lessons in a seaplane up there with 2 different women pilots/instructors - that was so cool. He landed on lakes & rivers - no ocean landings for these.

Great shots! I miss taking people out for flight tours around LA. It used to be a monthly treat I would give for people.
