Uh! The sky color is terrible ... It seems that there comes a storm but the man that is above, perhaps jogging, it makes you think that it's over is, a hope.
You captured a fleeting moment - excellent work. And, the dramatic sky looks in B&W to maybe threaten rain - or, maybe it was blue sky with wispy clouds, but you certainly captured a dramatic mood. Lastly, The lines from the railing and the support beams are great in that they lead the eye and frame the subject.
Very complex interactions with the structured (the horizontal bridge deck, the vertical fence, and diagonal cables) and the unstructured (runner and the clouds). Bravo!
Nice choice for monochrome! I've just started converting some of my images to mono and am thinking about what makes a good b&w image. Shapes, lines, and values.
I've said before and I'll say it again, this is your new career. There's so much energy in your work, J, everything seems to be vibrating, really phenomenal.

I love this photo a lot. I have a weakness for structures, shapes, angles and lines. The beautiful clouds and the sun shining on the parapet completes the picture.

i like the way the railings dramatize the whole shot. the sky too contributes to the effect

The strong lines work well in B&W ... cloudy skies everywhere at the moment ... dense fog up a Katoomba this morning.

I like this in b/w, and with beautiful composition and all the "lines".
He looks lonely up there among the steel and concrete. Beautiful lines and nuances of grey.
The black and white composition, the hard lines of the bridge all captured the effort of that runner, but without words. Great photo.
He's so small against the enormity of the architecture surrounding him - such a lonely sport indeed!
This is a very nice shot Julie... Overwhelming the size of the bridge and the relative insignificance of the runner. It looks so over-engineereed....
