What a difference a few hours make! From overcast skies with distant rain to blue skies with fluffy clouds. I've just spent an enjoyable interlude catching up with your photos. They make me want to hop on a plane and fly to Australia. I especially enjoyed the shots of the Waverley Cemetery. The history, the hillside, the views...lovely.
The ship on the horizon, the clouds, the beach--all so dramatic and beautiful. But the shot of Bondi gives me a bit of the blues--I can almost see the house of my daughter! So near yet so far.
Oh! You have such amazing blues in the second photo, sky and water, redblue to greenblue! The early am beach with the rain just offshore is perfect, j'adore also! Three Rivers Daily Photo
Julie, Julie ... how dare you show blue skies when I am bemoaning that this is yet another day in the clouds. I'm fed up, it's beginning to feel like winter around here, we even lit a fire last night to get warm.
But apart from that there is a richness of colour in the photos that I like a lot ... perhaps it's the time of day.
The top photo is haunting. Early morning with the sun peeking over the horizon, silhouetting the ship, the lone figure on the beach... What’s going through his mind at 5.50 a.m. that morning just after Christmas?
Great photos again Julie,Ilove your blog,I have been taking a peek every now and then for a while now and you always have something fantastic to see or read. I love your quirky descriptions! I will be visiting often. Also thanks for the comments on my Sky watch post today x sharon
Looks a lot like Florida. If it's raining here, just wait a little while and it will turn out to be a beautiful day. Gorgeous blue skies in the second shot.
Wow, what a dramatic change in less than two hours. How much action and force on this gorgeous sky. It's like "you're watching a painting coming to life shifting and shaping .......it all goes by." Thanks Julie for sharing these beauties.
Truly, truly beautiful pictures. They are so bight and vivid. Every detail so easy to see. You are very good at capturing true beauty of nature. I am honored you had time to drop by my place. Thank you.
just as beautiful as ever...I put this on my computer wallpaper (hope that's ok)...can't wait to show the kids....I'm always talking about Oz - they want to move there.

Stunning images! Thank you so much.
Is there anything more uplifting to the soul than grey skies giving way to blue? I think not! Wonderful capture.
Both views are lovely ;-)
I never cease to be amazed at how the skies change ... almost moment to moment.
Hugs and blessings,
Fantastic captures, Julie! Gorgeous skies! Love those big puffy clouds in the last shot! Happy SWF!

What beautiful, rich blues in your photos. Makes me long for summertime, but that'll be a long wait around here.

These are gorgeous! The colors are so rich and saturated, what an incredible blue sky. Beautiful shots. Kathy
Whoa - those are absolutely gorgeous! I confess to being a little bit jealous - I wouldn't mind being on the beach right about now :)

Absolutely brilliant blues.

And all of a sudden the 'boundless possibilities' of the new year appeared.
Please have a wonderful Friday.

Are you playing with HDR now too?
I'm impressed either way.

Incredibly intense blues.

Fantastic blue, I dive in it.
Amazing shades of blue. I love the lonely feel of the beach in the first photo.
I love this shot. So dramatic... still one would love to be there.
I have not entered your page for days and I see that these photos are precious. The intensity of blue reflected in the sky, gaping my eyes.
Beautiful photos.
Stay well.

Shelle: not a problem with that. Anything that gives others a wider appreciation of the life that we live down here. Say hi to the kids from me!
Absolutely beautiful! That second photo is just breathtaking.
Wow! Stunning photographs.
I can't decide which one I like more, but I'm sure that these are some of the best pictures seen around in a while.
