I am sampling the joys of Melbourne - including a day at the tennis. I will be back at my desk on Thursday 28th January.
This is so amazing, especially the first pic! Great work, Julie!
ReplyDeleteSoooo pretty!:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
i know the focal point is the giant nest and egg,
ReplyDeletebut i can't take my eyes off that gorgeous blue
sky!
It speaks of potential and mystery. I'm wondering about the moon-like image. Is it really the moon?
ReplyDeleteI love the first picture, and the way the half-circle jet trail echoes the curve of the sculpture.
ReplyDeleteI like the big picture very much of this photos, there is something in the sky that adds a beautiful details, very nice.
ReplyDeleteSerge
Wow, I would lie to see the bird that laid that egg. Great sky.
ReplyDeleteAmazing sculpture and very beautiful photograph. The blue sky against that white egg is stunning.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my first acting experience. I didn't break a leg, but I did lay an egg. ;-)
Gorgeous blue skies and that is one BIG egg! What a unique sculpture! Beautiful capture for the day! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes that is a jet trail. It went on to say "Call home" ...
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual sculpture! Particularly fine when shot against that amazing sky.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see a bird try to hatch that egg!!
ReplyDeletewhat a special sculpture.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting sculpture! Wonder what giant will come out of this egg...
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Awesome captures Julie.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Stunning art & photo. Demands attention & focus.
ReplyDeleteStunning photo. The contrasts are good and sharp.
ReplyDeleteGood choice for SWF !!!
ReplyDeleteHallo from Germany

ReplyDeleteHow cool is that! It's going to be one big bird!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is another bit of Sydney that I've never seen before.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
That's one big bird!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend in Melbourne.
That's one cool sculpture. I'd be looking up for the giant bird that laid the egg.
ReplyDeleteVery clever with the mirroring sky writing. Forgot about this series, must have another look at what I've got - again quite different to yours.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, wow :)
ReplyDeleteNever seen such a huge egg. Beautiful blue sky.
ReplyDeleteThere might indeed be "easiness" in the sky.
ReplyDeletePlease have a wonderful time and Friday as well.
Beautiful blue sky, - a perfect background for this splendid sculpture. If it wasn't so amazing it would almost be whimsical....
ReplyDeleteWow! Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWowza! This certainly is a different post than everyone else's.

Surprenante œuvre ;) et j'aime la première photo avec ce trait dans le ciel...
ReplyDeleteThis roused various feelings in me too numerous to mention. It is a powerful piece of sculpture but I am not sure why this is so! But very strong photos, and I agree with others when they say that the first one is the most powerful.
ReplyDeleteTotally unrelated.
ReplyDeleteThis reminded me of your ladders.

What an extraordinary and eye-catching sculpture. Was there a particular bird in the originator's mind?
ReplyDeleteBrett Whitely's art is always exciting and that blue sky does it wonderful justice. I've never seen this sculpture walk.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely charming!
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is just amazing Julie! The jet trail and the deep blue in the sky just makes it perfect.
ReplyDeleteNice pics, love the first one!
ReplyDeleteInteresting subject. Nice photos.
ReplyDeleteLove this picture Julie. Wonder how long you had to wait for the contrail. Or did you get lucky? Either way, thanks.
ReplyDeleteoutstanding images, Julie. hope you had a lovely holiday.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, with the contrail I simply got lucky. I have other images where more of the word is spelt out but this curve suited my purpose.
ReplyDeleteBC, I had a mixed holiday. The countryside and the company were just terrific. But, because of the ataxia with my eyes, the tennis was way too much for me to watch live and try to follow side to side. My last live match I am afraid!
