This is part of the Walsh Bay Sculpture Walk. It was conceived by Brett Whitley (1939 - 1992) and executed the year after his death by Matthew Dillon and Wendy Whitley.

It speaks of potential and mystery. I'm wondering about the moon-like image. Is it really the moon?

ReplyDeleteThis roused various feelings in me too numerous to mention. It is a powerful piece of sculpture but I am not sure why this is so! But very strong photos, and I agree with others when they say that the first one is the most powerful.

ReplyDeleteCarolyn, with the contrail I simply got lucky. I have other images where more of the word is spelt out but this curve suited my purpose.
ReplyDeleteBC, I had a mixed holiday. The countryside and the company were just terrific. But, because of the ataxia with my eyes, the tennis was way too much for me to watch live and try to follow side to side. My last live match I am afraid!
