I love it when photographs of fences like this come up - I've never seen anything like them in the UK as the fences here are mostly mass produced from saw mills. Why I don't know; these handmade ones are far nicer!
Works for me, Julie. It's the kind of natural, everyday, outdoor subjects that my photographer's eye is drawn to. Love the composition, textures and patterns.

It looks like black and white pics as I was children. My father only had make shots without colour...

This is a great monochrome shot. I love all the wood and woods here.
Nice shot, Julie!I like all the leaf litter on the ground, fits in nicely with the trunk and fence.
Lovely shot of a grand old fence. I really like fences.
Congratulations on making the Wall!
Thank you, Dragonstar. I really appreciate the effort that Aileni puts into this meme. It is quite different from many of the others.
This is the kind of photo I like to take myself. Wooden fences, lines leading into the picture, diagonals - the lot.
Very nice monochrome. THe textures are wonderful.

That texture, I can feel it under my hands.
Lovely shot!
Why does this look familiar, I wonder. I almost have a sense of deja vu. Might have even stopped there myself. :)
It's wonderful rustic fence, blending beautifully with the trees. Great photo!
I like that fence. Don't see many made that way here in NZ.
Stellar Julie!
That's a fabulous shot, so much texture.
I like the textures ... from the fence posts, the trees and the leaf litter ... seems dry and warm.
Nice lines and contrast.
I like this so much. A wood fence, especially a weathered one, makes a great photographic subject.
I love these old wooden fences but I'm not hooked on monochrome yet. I think this one would look good in rustic colour.
The texture of the wood is perfect for monochrome, great shot.
Perfect subject for monochrome....great tones.
such fences you can also find in Romania, and I always like to take photos of them: they have a particular charm. great shot!
How beautiful this is. A beautiful fence with such gorgeous texture and shading.
Come and visit Menton DP or Monte Carlo DP Julie - it's our third birthday!
A classic shot in b&w.
Julie, that is stunning!
Rough-hewn fence, very rustic and looking historic in b&w.

Nice one Julie. I "believe" the rendition of the wood.
A beauty, Julie. Part of your country estate?
Great texture in this old wood
