Beautiful rusticity. You had some great light on that trip.
Re CNY, not sure. Think it will depend on the weather. Went down to Belmore Park after work yesterday to see what was going on for the opening and I just couldn't hack it. Too many people, couldn't get to the front or if I did the press behind was too much for me. Then it rained. Just didn't enjoy it so probably don't have much in the way of shots either. Might have been better if it wasn't so hot and humid.
My reflection is down the bottom of Geogre Street towards the Quay.
Would like to go to the parade but I'm really concerned about the crowds. How about we set a time and place and if I don't turn up just do your own thing (which is what we would end up doing anyway). Be warned, there was a lot of pushing and shoving last night, be careful you don't get trampled on. If its raining I definitely won't bother.
Now this is different from your usual reflections ... a sparser, unmanicured rural setting. It took me by surprise. But look at at long and deeply and a sense of calm takes over.

Brings out a warm, homely feeling in me. I love cattle . . . and mud . . . and the colours in your photo.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Mmm, the sweet smell of cows - wonderful!
Interesting picture!

The cows are going to get muddy!
I hope they don't get stuck in that mud!
Great picture.
Love the warm colors in this, such a contrast to the gray weather we are having. Nice shot. Kathy
Beautiful, rich, earthy warmth in this reflection and its surroundings!
You have a good eye, julie. I can just picture the cows lapping it up.
I say Julie, it's always nice to wake up and see a nice new interesting photo of yours. This morning was no exception.

Another good one Julie. I like the simplicity of it and the lighting is wonderful.

Lovely. I like the composition and the green-brown tones.
Cool. It's amazing that the puddle reflection has such great details. The composition is pretty great too.
Interesting topic. The barbed wire fence brings back some scratchy memories.
The reflection of the post on the water is so crisp. I bet the cows didn't appreciate it, though . :)
it's almost like a mirror..
Great title. You really draw us into the image, help us see its before and after.
Nice title and nice shot! Nicely captured reflection!!

As always, Julie, beautiful capture. Amazes me how you can capture beauty in a mud puddle! Nice reflection!
