It is a truth universally acknowledged that a cafe with a queue must have an excellent barista. And "Camps" has three of them. Having been over at Missenden Road twice in the last week, and in need of a heart-starter, I was overjoyed to not have to battle the early morning crowd.
And a lovely ambience it was. Their own roasted beans, organised service, chewy brownies. Just what was needed. Shall drop in every time now. On Missenden Road, just down from King Street. Same block as the Marlborough Hotel.

I love that you can find excellent coffee all over the world now, be it Bellingham, Sydney, or Rome. It looks like a lovely spot to stop and get a cuppa.
Mmmmm...Im joining you for that coffee.... :)
Sounds just perfect!
Hmmm...I'am drinking always a strong espresso....nice ambience Julie.
Greetings, Joop
A cup of coffee and a chewy brownie make a perfect combination any time!
Captures the cosiness and aroma of a great place to have coffee.
Awesome. This is actually one of my favourite coffee shops in Sydney and I have often travelled great distances to Newtown, just for a cup of Campos coffee. The good news is that they now supply Campos coffee to a select group of other shops and I have discovered one in the city and one at Surry Hills where I can get it.
Regarding the origins of the suburb name Breakfast Point. I have another post from the suburb scheduled for tomorrow where I explain it.
For Izziviggi: "Except in London".
Nice shots Julie. Next time we're in Sydney, we'll join you there.
I love coffee but it doesn't love me.
Think of me while you enjoy it :)
Oooh Campos. There's a coffee shop in Elizabeth Street near the bank I use that uses Campos.
Coffee is one of the great joys in my life. I also have a shop that uses Campos near my house. Bliss!

reminds me of some Parisian coffee cups I photographed. :)
Keep the caffeine flowing.
A yummy hot coffee is always welcoming on hot days too.
Looks a nice warm and cosy place to be. Love the smell of coffee but can't get excited about the taste.
Once you mentioned the chewy brownies, I was sold.
I enjoyed the progression from inside to the entry.
All very well composed and with warm tones, I like this!
Looks like a great spot.
The first photo forces you to either get out for a cup of coffee, or make it at home (which is what I'm about to do)...
