Weekend Reflections - Hastings River

We sat in quiet harmony, supping our steaming coffee, munching on a shared apple-danish and reading the weekend paper. The weather crept steathily up the delta from the ocean, as the sky painted the river with dread.

And barely a ripple on the water, which was about to change.

Beautiful. For a moment I thought I was looking at Peter's blog.

Haven't really started with the photos. Will take time. Delete, number, name then process and/or fix the ones I want to put on line. Will start using them on Meanderings but the travel blog/album will take a lot longer. Hope you like corrugated iron and rust.

You mean his canal blog? That is a ripper, isn't it?

Do you have to ask if I like CI and rust!! Go for it ...

I wonder how much time elapsed between the first and second shot. The transformation in cloud mood is remarkable but I don't know how much of that is owing to your spare perfect text.

Most ominous sky. You captured it well with your text.

Very moody scenes and narrative. Great shots!

The deep color saturation is the bow on the package.

Quelle belle soirée du vendredi ! Je viendrais bien siroter mon verre à côté de vous ... pour un instant de calme ...

Julie said...

Thank you Gine ... I hesitate to translate ... 'What a beautiful Friday evening! I would sip my glass beside you for a moment of calm'.

Thank you ...

I'd have a hard tome keeping my eyes on the newspaper while this was going on! Beautiful captures of a dramatic sky.

I just love the growly sky and its reflection in the water and the nofolk island pines.

Painted the river... I'll say. Sometimes we're just at the right place at the right time. Wonderful!

This is really beautiful, the skies and the reflections too !

Quite powerful images, love the tree silhouettes reflecting in the water. It all looks so peaceful even though the sky wants to tell a different story.

Thanks for the visit and comment on my Weekend Reflection post, and for the follow. =)

Hope you have a pleasant weekend.
