A soaring dark intensity

This chap, who sounded very Australian, put on a wonderful show at the Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park yesterday afternoon, as I wandered home after having lunch in the town with my son.

He fair drew a crowd with his showmanship and superb playing of pieces as diverse as The Eagles to Django Rhinehardt. Bravo!

Great shots, what a shame there is no sound.

Terrific shots indeed! And that sun! (Looking forward to seeing it again!)

Oh, wow, Julie, what a find for you. I love the Eagles and I love Django Reinhardt. Very versatile young man, it seems, and just playing in the park.
When he becomes a famous Australian talent, you can say you saw him "when"!

I'm rather taken with this chap, good looking and actually has some talent. I think I have a shot of him somewhere on Strangers.

He looks very Andalucian (spain) and he sounds very like them.

He did, indeed, look Andalucian. When I was younger (in the middle of last century) I had two LPs (hah!) that really educated me in world music. One was of Russian folk songs by a fabulous basso and the other was of Spanish folk music. Sadly, the names of both recordings now escape me. There was much guitar and voice ont. This chap yesterday reminded me of that recording - without the grunted vocals.

Umm ... something about H8? I loved Keith Michell's interpretation of H8 but that was about 40 years ago now. It has probably not aged well.

I am so glad that people cycle back through old posts and catch up ... and I have enjoyed the varying reactions to this fellow. If I see him again, I shall give him a card and see if he has one in exchange.
