Redhead Beach - Christmas Week (5)

The top shot shows the meander down towards Blacksmiths, and the lower shot the view back to Redhead. A glorious part of the central coast of the state of New South Wales.

It is a very clean and protected beach, even being very open and inhabited by dawgs! My sister-in-law says that the sand-dunes move about a fair bit, but they are more vegetated now than they have ever been. And yes, people have been known to die testing their agility on the headland - kids mostly.

Hello Julie, Thank you for your comment about the snow in Roskilde and the difficulties that follows. I see what you mean by "Looks under stones". Today - that is yesterday for you - it is very difficult to travel from one part of Denmark to another because of even more snow, and what is called black ice (ice at the highways). Many, many people are travelling today.
I see you have "summersnow" at the beach.
Merry Christmas to you.

Merry Christmas! I like the cliff's, I've always though they were fascinating. It's nice to see beach shots when the wind chill here is ~-10C :-(

Those detail shots of the seaweed are great, evokes the smell of the beach just looking at them.

It's Christmas eve, amazing. Wishing you an especially wonderful Christmas with your dear little granddaughter a special delight.

I too count it joy to have you as my friend.

I can now see why it is called Redhead Beach. Are they exotic pine trees?

I have never been to these beaches but have heard about them a lot. Your pics really suggest that it is time we diverted off the freeway and visit here soon.

That is so beautiful, I need to be by the water for a while, getting sick of the built environment.

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
