For young boys, summer never fades

This boy and his younger brother had a wonderful time, flicking sand and water at each other, and trying to run like billie-oh through the shallows to escape - with predictable, and eagerly anticipated, results.

Once again, taken at Watson's Bay, but this time closer to the wharf from where the smell of fish'n'chips was sending me beserk!

Hope you treated yourself to some f&c. Bet this young man was ready for a platter full after this wonderful romp.

You are easing into Fall as we are easing into Spring. I would say that the figure in the blue hat sneaking up on the seagulls is likely a boy -- hunter gatherers usually are, although not always.

I lament the passing of Tulsa Gentleman from your link list. I observe that you have narrowed it down to blogs nearer to home. It was nice to be one of the proud and the few even if only for a while. You have one of the truly excellent photo blogs.

The smell of fish and chips and saltwater together has been my undoing many a time!
Wonderful photos, Julie, especially the last one!

Fush 'n' chups (courtesy of my Kiwi sis)is a must when one is at the beach - in fact I propose that Joolya passes this as legislation next time she's in the land of Oz ;)

I have also found the urge to eat fish and chips on visits to Watsons Bay.

Great splash!

Great light on the boy in the top photo. Fish and chips and Watson'e Bay go hand in hand, don't fight it., although my SIL got a dose of food poisoning rom there.

The sequence is delightful -- the big splash at the end perfect,
