Sugar Cafe, early

This is Sydney winter, rugged up people enjoying a coffee in the sun.

There's something ageless about this scene, esp with the b&w treatment.

An unusual name for a cafe and those chairs look uncomfortable for this old lady. I agree with Ann's comment.

It's true, your use of B&W gives this scene timelessness, and also, to coin a word, placelessness. It could be anywhere in the world, from the 1950s until now.
This is the last day of our Russian holiday, and what have we learned? As our tablemates at breakfast said this morning, we have learned not how the Russian people differ from us, but how much we are the same. Your photo could have been taken in today's Moscow, where the English words would not have been at all out of place.
Smiled and cried over Kirsten's latest, Julie. What a brave and wonderful daughter you have. To admit the pain she endured without a trace of poor-me... she is a treasure, and I will continue to insist she gets it from you, because you, too, are such a treasure.
Luv, K

Julie I have found all your photos very calming this week. Loved yesterdays doors.
Was reading Kristen's blog and I know there is still so long to go but it must be a major relief for everyone that her results have come back and she has the all clear.
Enjoy your week. We have terrible weather here today and the forecast isn't good.

It's interesting that the couple on the left are nattering away but the two on the right seem to be content with there silence.

I am often content with my own silence.

Tops shot in b&w.

All of the above, I love this shot Julie, the shadows and light make it very appealing.

The low morning light is nicely in play here.
