There are some corridors in the U.S. Capitol like this and they painted the ceilings several decades ago. Today, it looks like they were painted a century or so ago.
That would have been such a shame Julie, it's a super image. Apart from the wonderful light high in the arches, the light coming from the open doors to the side gives the feeling of expectancy, what important decisions are about to be unveiled on the unsuspecting public this time!!

Lovely rhythm of ceiling arcs and decorative bosses. The richness of image is enhanced by your choice of black and white.
Beautiful black and white Julie. Arches and light are so photogenic. I do like the way the arches contain and reflect the light.
