From Ayrshire to Dumfries


Erected in 1905, this statue of Robbie Burns was created by Frederick Pomeroy and stands just off Art Gallery Road in The Domain.

I adore the top shot of Burns. I only happenstanced upon it as I walked up the path from The Domain parking station.

I like the top shot too Julie because you can see his Tam o' Shanter and plaid throw better, although the cathedral in the background here is rather stunning.
