The cruel winds of August

I think of Tom Eliot as the howling winds from the Antarctic are sucked along the coast like a ginormous funnel betwixt two high pressure systems. August is a cruel month, and winter is not over until the bitter winds have sung.

Oh, it does look cold! Here we've had a few days of hot weather - so unusual that I've not been able to sleep properly :)

Beautiful, Julie. This photo doesn't show the cruel winds. To me it could very well have been a nice spring day.Very nice photo.

In BBJ last week I was anticipating those winds. They sure arrived this week though I was in Sydney on Friday and they were much worse down there than up here.
