This garden gate is in The Parapet which is littered with realised designs by Walter Burley Griffin. Do you see the similarity with the garden gate shown last week from 215 Edinburgh Road?
I have jut read through your previous posts - love these homes! They look so modern (in fact remind me a little of mid-century modern, except your dates say otherwise) I don't know much about Griffin except the very basics, architect and Canberra. so will now do some research of my own :)
Hamilton - I knew very little of him either, apart from the obvious. There is a lot of Canberra in Castlecrag. Loads more to come. And I am planning my annual trip to Canberra as a feast of Griffin.

There is a definite similarity to the gate from your earlier post Julie.

Yes there is certainly a similarity in the gates. Thank goodness you moved to a suburb with history and character for you to unravel.

Joan - serendipitous, hey!
No, I can't support that theory.
Utterly without charm this gate.
The other was full of it.
The vibe is all wrong.
