Birchgrove: Snails Bay

Snails Bay is on the same promontory as Mort Bay, just more on the harbour side than tucked away.

Naughty, naughty - some of the houses here have fenced off the foreshore and constructed their own private jetty. Unsatisfied with this - and to ensure that the great unwashed are kept out - they have cut down foliage and piled it against the tiniest of little gaps. What appear to be tendrils of bush, when enlarged, are sawn off branches. They must be furious with this park that enables the hoi poloi to not only approach the sacred waters, but to dabble their toes.

Ah yes, the warmth and delights of summer! Like the way your image takes me down to water's edge....to dabble my toes. :)
Lovely!

I'll bet the hoi poloi wear thongs in the supermarket and all!
