The predawn atmosphere presaged the humidly brilliant day to follow, as the Combined Philharmonia Choirs crunched their way across the sands to commence their final Dawn Chorus of the Sydney Festival. Maestro Bret Weymark followed and the crowd of close to ten thousand early birds were serenaded by the sights and sounds of Sydney in summer. With Lindy Hulme guiding the Festival for the next three years, I was thrilled to hear that she is a classical music and opera devotee.

Amazing skies at dawn.
How fabulous. Even a bird is flying by to listen. Beautiful scene.
That top silhouette is fantastic.
Somehow it happens. I was here about to make comment a few days ago and some interruption occured so, here I am back again to tell you....that this is one of my all-time favorite posts on CDPB. Especially the first image pulls me magically in with all senses alive and involved with that moment. Bravo, Julie and thank you!
