Rusty lives four doors up and has very poor hearing. This is his favoured position. From here he can see what is coming, and he can feel the vibrations in the path.
Rusty is a very clever dog. And very photogenic too. I've just gotten around to reading the article on art/architecture that your recommended. Thanks so much for that, lots of food for thought there. "Most rooms where most of us spend most of our lives - lounges and offices, classrooms, cinemas, gyms and shops - seem designed to leaden the soul, still the heart and shrivel the imagination. It's more about grace than grandeur, but has little to do with function or furnishing." I was just thinking what buildings here really move me, even if only with grace... I am on a quest now.

I love this shot! Give Rusty a good head rub for me. Tell him he has a fan in Southern California.
