I am trying to make out the emotions in this one and cant.... interesting picture!
It looks to me like some secret hand symbol.
Yes, he could be a baseball umpire.However, he was simply a very patient father, waiting for his daughter to have all her graduation photos taken.

Your hand series is fascinating. So much to speculate about when only the hands are seen. Also raises interesting personal questions like ... do I ever stand with my hands behind my back ... I don't think so but maybe I do.
