Pleasures of late Winter 3

Seemingly oblivious to the pulsating world around him, Narcissus here had no need of a mill-pond. The peacock image he was projecting was carefully calculated and crafted to maximise attention, from the mobile hooked onto his budgie-smugglers to the elaborate paen on his rippling shoulder-blade. The vibes emanating from within reeked of self-absorption.

giggle - sorry - can't help myself.

I really learn much about Australian culture in this blog, yes.

Absolutely spot on - anyone who stretches so in such a place is just begging to be noticed! Great shots Julie.

I just about spewed the water I was drinking onto my computer screen when I saw these.

Using the term 'budgie smugglers' was a crack up. Ha Ha.

Why not. Good for him. I'm sure he is very fit and who doesn't want to be seen these days!

Actually, I just realised that he has a ventolin puffer tucked into his swimmers, too.

I'm ever so glad you noticed him and documented it! :)

I'm wondering...what's in his hat? who were Jesse and Monique? is that really a nude person to the left of him on the beach? If he's been dealing with some skin problems? I'm really glad...you didn't take a photo of him from the front.

I think his white socks were in the dirty clothes pile in the laundry room. Looks like a beautiful, sunny day for Frank to "stretch everything."

Hmmmm, no comment.

This is a funny post... possibly the most of the "pleasures of summer" series... I enjoy your candidness in these!

Julie, you are so mean -- clearly not your type.

Funny Julie! I wonder what he would think if he knew we were all looking at him!

*grin* ... not my type indeed!

Trying to determine what it is that he had tucked under his cap, all I can think of is a pair of gloves. Maybe he is a tri-athlete?

I too am glad that I was unable to take a shot from the front!

Looks like the chap is playing to an audience. Like the budgie-smugglers comment.
Do you think he knew he was being photographed?
