There's so much light and detail it took me a second to realise it was night. Great range of colours and reflections.

I agree with cara, I didn't realise it was night at first. Wonderful composition.

Yes mine were taken during the Vivid Festival. I think the first one would have been with the tripod and the big lens, the second one was hand held with the 50mm F1.8 lens during my lets see what this lens can do night outing. Couldn't find a decent day shot of the top one. For a day version of the bottom shot, see tomorrow.

Lovely night shot, Julie, and a nice use of the puddle on the sidewalk. Well done!

What a beautiful shot - wonderful reflections and colours. I didn't realise it was taken at night, as others have said.

Beautiful composition of just a street reflection and the red box (?) in the background, the result is remarkable! Greetings from MC.

I think you are pulling our leg that this is a nighttime shot. The reflections made a very interesting shot of a dull street.

Excellent catch! I like the puddle mirror showing the nightly sky.

For those who are interested in such things: F4, 6 sec, ISO=200, 55mm. Taken at 19:37 on 27th July. And, I used a tripod ... obviously ... Taken in Wattle Street Pyrmont, just before the turn up to go over the Darling Harbour interchange.
