Outdoor dunnies

Another airing of the outdoor dunnies on Lombard Lane, half a block east of Glebe Point Road, running down toward Marlborough Street. The previous post was a sedate early morning scene. Wanting, this time, to capture the riotous tumble, I wended my way through during my mid-day break.

Switching to autopilot whilst I galivant around southern Tasmania for 10 days, returning Monday 5th October.

We'll miss your insightful comments during your absence and look forward to your return. Have a whirling good time in Tasmania and be sure to kick up some dust for the rest of us. This is a really fine parting shot, Julie.

I laughed when I saw 'dunnies' in your post's title. I can't remember ever seeing rows of toilets, at the back of properties like that, so close to a back laneway. Congrats on 100 followers, Julie. Sydney - City and Suburbs

Great shot! I've never seen the like either. Do they back out onto the street for collection reasons?

It must feel nice to have 100 strangers following you... rather than the other way around!

Love the shot. I always think of a dunny as a structure separate from the house but of course see in a city how they'd have been out the back, like this. Hope you are enjoying Tassie. I lived there for three years.

I like what time has done on these houses in a row.

Wended? What is this wended, Julie? Your range is impressive :)

Wend: direct one's course or way; e.g. "wend your way through the crowds"
