Down in the South-east corner of Tasmania, at the entry to Storm Bay lie the Bruny Islands - North and South. They are probably the furthest south in Australia that I am likely to travel. This is the absolute anthithesis to the Red Centre, the beating heart of Australia. Here the winds roar at a gale, the weather is every season in 24 hours and the landscape is to die for.
The first image is looking south out to the lighthouse. The next two are at the lighthouse looking first north-west and then to the north-east. Makes one feel good to be alive!

Julie, these literally take my breath away! Fabulous!
I would say Fabulous to but I'm not sure it is strong enough of a word. I don't have scenery like that in Ohio-USA

Wow ... double wow! Postcard perfect! I love the pictures.
What a visually stunning place! Those are fabulous shots Julie.
This looks surprisingly Celtic to me - and absolutely gorgeous of course.
What an amazing green rock!
Thank you, Friends. I agree that they have a touch of the Celtic about them. They certainly are like few other places in this amazingly diverse country of mine!
Well done, fabulous photos showing off the beauty of the region. Thanks for sharing with Sky Watch Friday.

You are making me want to go visit tassie again. I wasn't a photographer last time I visited.
This is almost too much to take in in one sitting! Magnificent! Not sure I would want to live there, but a day trip would be fun!
Nice images Julie - my wife and I have been talking about going to Australia sooner or later. These photographs make me think sooner! Thanks for dropping by my blog as well.
Cheers!
WOW, gorgeous scenery and photos! Thanks for sharing.
Cool pics, I've never been to Tasmania (and probably won't get there anytime soon!), how wonderful to see your pics:)
I know that we live, theoretically, in a small world, but I'm so sad that these places are some faraway from here. But probably they wouldn't be what they are if they weren't so...
