Great photos to frame up your patch of sky this week.
Yes I liked that quote I used this week becasue although LBJ was sitting in office during an unfortunate part of history that many people do remember, they forget he did enact many of the first environmental policies and campaigned very hard for the preservation of natural heritage.
This provided much thoughts, which I still am trying to reach. Until now, admit that indeed Jazz would be the only adequate music for the two pictures. A wonderful Friday for you.
Hello Ann, To answer your question, the first photo is part of a walkway in a newly opened set of "hanging" gardens in Paddington in Sydney. I captured it at midday facing east and just squeezed the light down until I had the reflection off the aluminium so that it was not too glarey. That is why the sky is such a brilliant blue. Both my photos today were taken on the same day and within about 110m and 30 minutes of each other. The barbed wire was facing north.
Julie, you always amaze me with these ordinary every day things that you manage to capture and make them wonderful. As BlossomFlowerGirl already said, who would've thought there's any beauty in barbed wire?

Very deceptive - graceful curves against a blue sky. Reminds me of those pre-handwriting exercises we did way back in primary school.
Amazing sky shots! I really love these, such cool designs and patterns.
I adore all the patterns playing in both images. Composition is great. Idea for the shot is fantastic. Nice job!

Breathtaking shots of a beautiful part of your world. The sky is so dark blue and the wire makes a nice effect.
