I like this door, there so much to show and very inviting. And your reflection is great in it too.

Julie... so where's it go?

Well done! Lovely self-portrait and beautiful door. As Sean asks: Where does it go...

I see you! Nice doorway, Julie! Apartment building? Happy November - it's still October here in EAGAN

Good idea for a self-portrait! and you could have used it for the week-end reflection!

Wonderful idea! I was just thinking where to find an interesting doorway tommorow, the one I haven't posted yet... but it seems with a creative idea a regular modern doors can be very interesting. Julie, you rock!

I see you in there Julie! That's a beautiful doorway!

I went to the Everglades yesterday to get my doorway photo (which I will post soon) and also saw a beautiful mirror that I was going to photograph until I realised that is was about to encapsulate a self portrait ... I'm more shy than you.

My guess this is a block of flats.

My absolute favorite, the photographer in the photo. It's nice to see you Miss Julie. Hope you're feeling better. Much love.

PS I've started back up with 100 strangers. Also Virginia has her 100 strangers in France going on.

I like that way of using yourself as part of the subject - intriguing indeed.

Y ou have a real knack for reflections. I like that. :)

Wonderful image and great choice! Cheers!

Heh. Heh. It's really hard to get a straight-on shot without you being in the picture!

Love the doorway, though. And you appear a dedicated photographer.

I like this self-portrait very much. Thanks for your comment about never getting enough of people's gardens. I feel the same way. What can they grow, and where? I've learned so much that way.

Very good choice, a beautiful doorway cum portrait, I really like this. I usually got these shot unwillingly...

Good chose. I enjoy taking (or trying to take) reflections and actually find this one more interesting than the doorway, although the brickwork is lovely.

excellent reflection shot and I like the red brick and the artistic flair of it over the door

Beautiful doorway and ah, we see you.How nice. I find this happens when I don't want it to!

so very reflective

Thanks for the comment--I believe it is meant to be both water & fire. It is a relatively modern Catholic church for France, built in 1996, and while I don't know the intended significance of the mural my guess would be the idea of sin (fire) being washed away by Christ (water).
Maybe I'll ask someday. :)

Wow, two reflections in a row. Love this one too, it's creative and of course the doorway is beautiful.

Wonderful self portrait. Clearly a reflection of your creativity!

Why is it so many of us are shy about showing ourselves and yet we all LOVE to catch a glimpse of each other?

Happy theme day Julie .. it is always great to see a self-portrait .. especially one with such an ornate doorway.

Oh1 I really love this! And the self-portrait. Reflections in glass are a favorite theme for me.

Like the reflection and love the saturated color of the stone and the beautiful curve of the archway. By the looks of all the mail slots it must be a good sized building. Nice choice for theme day.
