My World - Opera Bar

Basking in the warmth of a 19C Sunday afternoon on Sydney Cove, soft rock coming from a live trio, swirling a cab/merlot around the glass, I watch as P&O's 'Pacific Jewel' glides between Bridge and Opera House. I take a sip ... and then another ...

So why the foot?

I have recently contributed to a new site called 'Toemail', which is looking for submissions of toes from identifiable sites around the globe.

Go on - give it a try!

I already did! At June 28 on my blog. I didn't know of this project but I have sent my photo of my toes to the blog now.

It looks like you were at the Opera House at exactly the same time I was at Walsh Bay. I've got a shot of the cruise ship making its way past the wharves. The ice rink at Bondi Beach has been set up on the hill, just south of the Bondi Pavilion.

Hah! A friend and I had spent the afternoon up the southern pylon of the SHB and took shots of the ship berthed at Barangaroo as well. Small world, eh?

Really nice shots of a perfect afternoon.

I was wondering who you persuaded to put their foot up. It should promote some interest. When I lived for that short soujourn overlooking Barangaroo I remember waking up with some surprise to see a cruise ship anchored outside my bedroom window.

Great shots and I love the toe shot. Fun post of a beautiful place. I answered your question about the oil spill in an email but the short answer is the oil hasn't made it to the Atlantic yet and hopefully won't. Sad though either way what is happening.

19C, you call taht hot? We have +30C give or take. I like the toes. :)

Not hot at 19C but nicely warm. We are in the middle of winter, whereas you, in Sweden, are in the middle of your summer.

I appreciate your visit.

Fess up, Julie. Your toes are up there because you fell A over T after swilling down all those Merlots.

Sounds good enough to me! And then one of those MEN! helped me to my feet. Yeah! I wish ...

That's just great! What could possibly be a more recognizable landmark than Sydney Opera House? Eiffel Tower? Maybe time to brush up on my French, lol.
