We are not amused!

I go to Europe for three weeks and return to find my city decked out like a tart.
My . city . in . tart's . clothing.
Enough now. All the dressups can go back in the box.
All the banners. All the tents.

Be gone!

Luscious colors against beautiful architecture ... nice photo.

Are you going to show us all that you captured in Paris (and other places of Europe)? Glad you are back!

Beautiful colors, but I still agree with you.

A shock to the system!

Why, if I may ask?
Are you joking??

And she means it, Sydney. Don't mess with Julie, especially when she has jet lag.

Yes, why was your city tarted up?
Beautiful photo, though, Julie. I love the building in the background, but I do have to wonder about Queen Victoria.

That's just too funny!

[I answered you on my roof post: ... the conventional kawara roofing tiles are ceramic made of dark gray clay. The terminal pieces are used both for decoration and perhaps as an amulet. Because the angle of my photo focuses on the ends, it's hard to see, but I'd say this one has a small branch with a fruit and two leaves. I'm sure to post more roof photos in future.]

Hah Hiker, you got it! But I will solve it by withdrawing this little head to my own little radius of streets. Sydney in miniscule.

Francisca, I answered you about Murakami. To treasure, in short ...

Genie, on the sidebar is being born 'à pied dans les rues de Paris'. Still in the delivery room, but I will work more on it during today.

Well, that's a fine welcome home!

It was a bit of a shock to the system when I first saw them but they're fun for one month. I've got plenty of these 'tarted up' statues to show in the next few days.

I like these, they're fun. Also the banners are a lot better than some in previous years. Haven't got to the lanes yet, from what Jim says, they sound as strange as usual.

Vicky might not be amused but the masses are.

I'm with you. I posted something mildly indignant on J Bar's blog. Made me feel like an old curmudgeon. Regrettably, not the first time I have felt like an old curmudgeon.

Is having a little fun with Victoria so wrong?! A eye catching photo!

Julie said...

Nor in the least wrong, Leif. I just don't like it. A matter of taste ...

Julie for Premier!

Julie said...

*grin*
I think if i were to respond to that, Bruce, it would be libelous, especially after what our erst-while Premier is trying to pull, according to media reports, today.

But I have a hunch that 'we the people' shall have the last word!

this is the best tarting up I have seen.

Hahahaha! This is too hilarious!

I've been noticing them popping up in the blogs. I think it is quite fun, provided it doesn't become an annual event!
