Sitting, watching, waiting, hoping

The middle of the day, in the middle of spring.
The temperature hovers around 24C; the breeze a light nor-easter.

Out along Circular Quay, between the ferry wharves and the Opera House, stretches Opera House Walk, bustling with diners at the restaurants and small cafes. Water taxis dock, plying for trade - perhaps a passenger to travel to far flung Watson's Bay.

I watch the people watchers.

One of my very good memories about your great city... Here, it's raining again and again, I wish I was waiting for the ferry toward Manly...sigh...

Wonderful, Julie. I remember Circular Quay. I was there in July, so the weather was a little cooler, perhaps, but certainly not cold.
A lovely series of photos.

Perfect weather to sit on a bench and watch the world go by.

And no doubt big brother was watching you through his lens while you watched the watchers.

I like the two guys on the bench, both sitting yet worlds apart, a good study of the contemporary world.

Love it, Julie. Think I would be one to catch that water taxi to far-flung Watson's Bay on a whim. You could probably recommend a good spot for lunch there?
