Ready for the summer heat

These streets are on the way I meander up to Kings Cross to get Charlie to cut my hair. The streets are narrow, as you can see, and traffic flows in one direction only. I think the trees are Golden Robinias, aka Robinia Pseudo Frisia.

I love tree-lined streets. When I first moved to Alberta, while we were house-hunting, we were living in a brand-new apartment building out on the prairie, with nary a tree nearby. If I got homesick and depressed, Dick would pack me into the car and take me to the old part of the city of Medicine Hat, built overlooking the river: old Victorian houses with equally old trees bending gracefully over the street.
I love these photos, Julie. Thanks!

What a contrast to how things look here right now! It looks a very attractive neighbourhood.

Beautiful leafy streets. Doesn't feel much like summer at the moment, does it? Thanks for the heads up on Gordon Public School. I found one reference that said it was now used as a library but don't know the area that well so wasn't sure if it was the school's library or the local library. I'll do some more research to confirm.

Some of the colours make it look almost autumnal. Barcom Street....ah yeah, the old tram viaduct.

The tree lined streets look great. Power lines mostly rule this out in our area.

Great light. Is it cold in winter?

Nice shots, I always thought it was Womerah Ave.

You are right, Arija. It is Womerah Avenue, Darlinghurst. Yet Womerah Street, Turramurra. Old habits die hard.

Diane, Yes, my guess is that this street is cold in winter. One can't have both things!

I did not want to tread on your toes, just that I have written that address so often when sending presents to my grandchildren.

That is sweet, but never do worry about that with me. I am keen for my readers to pick things up and let me know. Taa ...
