For me the bLack & white suits this subject. Nice contrast and tones. Not many people for lunch.

Great compostion and also unnerving in a way I can't quite work out, maybe the title increases this effect.

This is another aspect of the city that I like. Places to sit, very structured landscaping. It's a counterbalance to my love of the disorder of the bush. I like the photographic elements of this shot too ... nice balance of lines.

Thank you, Joan. If you catch the title of my image (as opposed to the title of the post) you will see it is 'repeating patterns'.I love finding these and capturing them with my lens. I caught this in B&W much to my daughter's chagrin. I think it will be my entry in the oldies photo comp next week. I will see what I can learn to 'do to it' in PhotoShop as the week progresses.

Always love seeing shots of benches and this is a great bunch. I recently noticed those chunky armrests in the middle of these and couldn't remember them being there before. I wondered if they were added to prevent people from sleeping on them.

As Jim said, a nice bunch of benches, Julie. Beautiful in black and white.
We've been noticing benches since we began traveling several days ago. Cold metal benches outdoors in Toronto didn't impress us much!
Having problems with internet access but lucked into a good connection this morning so decided to cancel a shore excursion so I could catch up.

now that is an arty shot.
I just offended HighRiser by saying his claimed arty shot wasn't.
You definitely have 'an eye'.
