Theme Day - My favourite part of town

Centennial Park is one of my favourite parts of Sydney - but I have many. It has wild sections, it has manicured areas, it has garden beds and lakes, children's playgrounds and equestrian fields. Truly Centennial Park is a place for 'everyman'.

This looks like a great spot.

You series on the cruise ship behemoths was spectacular.

But the picnic table.... there's something very discontinuous about it's presence, as though it's just arrived, or just leaving perhaps.

I think I should like to be sitting at it right now, or perhaps better in an hour or two.

I think this would be my favorite place, too. I love the old trees and the emerald green grass.

I thought you'd choose a green space, Julie. Lovely shot. We all need peace in a city.

Easy to understand why, with such a beautiful and impressive colonnade. I'd like to meet you at that table for lunch one day.

You have taken us on so many adventures in this park, it's easy to see it's a favourite spot for you. Its interesting to see what people have selected.

Oh Beirut could use a park like that! If we had one, then maybe I'd have a favorite part of town too--as it is, my favorite place remains somewhat metaphorical.

What a wonderful avenue of huge trees. This looks like it is part of a Harry Potter story.
