I looked at all of these, Julie, before my brain caught up with my eyes. Then I thought, "There was a dog somewhere." Sure enough, the passenger in the first picture is holding a small dog. What fun and funny photos! I wish I had your eye for portraiture, with or without the motley mix of vehicles.

Love the mix of vehicles. What is that little covered scooter - great city transport.

It seems so different from Sydney but is that in the selection of images or an actual difference? I can only remember that Paris traffic was busy, that the taxi driver drove very fast in the tunnel and in Europe people can park in incredibly small places.

Kay - I am so glad you noticed the dog. That is just why I gave that image pride of place.

Ann - It is a beauty. I somehow think I have seen one of those in Sydney.

Joan - Yes, they almost tip park. I have no idea how some of them get out again. They use their horns a lot more. I am nervous at crossings, as they sneak in front of you while on the crossing. However, they are VERY good drivers!

A wonderful series of photos. You've captured so well the madness of motorbikes etc. Yes I understand the sense of dread.Far too many young people are killed on motorbikes.

You obviously navigated the underpass okay. It must be daunting especially with your vision problem. The photos capture the madness of Parisian traffic. I see many of the bike riders are women (and a dog)

No, Db, I stood on the outside of the 'etoile" whereas those who ran across (and in the hour I stood there 4 people ran) wanted to get in under the Arc de Triomphe itself. I was happy to view from a distance.

I had promised a friend back home that I would capture a 20+ lad, on a scooter, with loafers and scarf flying. The only one I managed turned out to be a blurr due to pathetic panning. Shall try again in my two remaining days. Can you believe it - only two days left!!

That's what I don't have in there - a velib. I only took 108 shots as they zoomed around the AdT, so I know I have a few velibs in the collection somewheres!!

I personally think one must be off their rocker to drive anything in Paris traffic!
