Paris Eye 3/30 - Old dog and his man

Resounding to the squeals of gaggles of leap-frogging children and teachers, the 'edges' of The Tour are devoid of tourists. This old dog slowly negotiated the gaggle, and did his business knowing the old man would pick up. The tourist load is slight right now, but will overwhelm come Easter. From Rue de Grenelles to Jardins du Trocadero is less than 500m in distance, but an eon in ambience.

Delightful image Julie. So quiet with the iron behemoth and its hoards so close.

Oh my. How wonderful. Paris before the tourists. I didn't know it existed. I envy you.

Very clever to get the shot without tourists. I would try to train my dog to put his bum over one of those bins, save having to pick it up. We all complain about tourists but I guess we are tourists ourselves, weather in a gaggle or alone.

Hey!
I didn't know you were in France.
Geez you get around!
I look the other way for 5 minutes and you're off!
I wish I had just a poofteenth of your energy (gammy legs and all!).
Looking forward to your adventures!

Lovely image. Looks like you need to get to know your local cafe very well for when you get back from a walk...

This reminds me of having once seen a man walking a rather geriatric dog. Both of them had stopped to watch a rabbit in the underbrush. A younger dog would have chased after it.

oops ... local cafe ... not sorted one of those as yet ... but there is a brasserie down on the corner or even 'Cafe du Musee' on the diagonal of the block.

About given photo I like most that the person standing on street just bow down his head to his lovable Sydney as my point of view.

Bonjour Julie - I'm still laughing - that old dog and his man
Lovely shot below the tower.I hope you enjoy the market it's near my usual Parisian stamping ground - right round the corner from Rue Cler.
Keep safe in beautiful Paris.

I have been un Paris in the Autumn, Winter and Summer (heaps of tourists and horrible) but never Spring. I have been on a business trip to Switzerland in the Spring though and found it delightful.

And as I recall the schoolchildren are allowed to run amok around there. As a former teacher I was a nervous wreck! I love this shot. I love finding quiet corners in Paris.

Don't forget the dancers on Sunday, Mouffetard. I'm sending you a photo so you can find my favorite subject.

Aside from the important subjects in the photo, you seem to have captured the footings of some metal structure. Probably nothing important.

I love the dog and his man and the bit of the tower adds a bit of ambience!

Precisely Andrew. How to show the tower incidently? To totally locate the image but make it fresh. A big challenge in this city.

This is beautiful! I took my daughter to Paris (& London & Rome) last October, but being our first trip and only having a week, we barely started getting beyond the sights before it was time to leave. Next time will be different.

Oh, I love the fresh lace of the trees under the canopy of La Tour! This is a wonderful capture... I can't wait to be there next week!
